Faith based organizations play a critical role in strengthening the social fabric of neighborhoods and communities. Within tobacco use and prevention, there is a great emphasis on access. This presentation will specifically discuss the various access methods available for persons seeking to cease tobacco use at low to no cost, faith-based organization options that are available and areas of presentation for the African American population. The conclusion will synthesize the value of health access and the practice of cultural competence in improving patient quality care among the faith-based population.
